Singapore has now entered phase 2 of re-opening following the Covid crisis. So what does all this mean and can you travel to Singapore safely?

On Friday many businesses were allowed to open back up. Shops and retail stores were back welcoming customers. Most importantly for us though, restaurants and bars serving food could now welcome dine in guests. The food and drink industry has suffered a lot in Singapore in recent months. This was a great step forward and has been welcomed by us all.
There are still strict social distancing measures in place. You must wear a mask when you are going to and from your table. Each table is 2 metres away from the next table. No more than 5 people are allowed to meet together. It is hoped that over the next few weeks the number of covid cases will continue to fall. If this is the case then phase 3 can come in. Slowly we are getting back to normal.

Can I travel to Singapore?

Unfortunately travel is still very restricted in Singapore. Any residents who are returning from overseas need to do a 14 day quarantine period. This can be done at their home or in a hotel. You also need to have permission to enter Singapore. At the moment this will not be granted for tourists and visitors. It is hoped that safe travel corridors will come into effect in the next phases. This will allow visitors from countries who have a lower number of covid cases to come to Singapore. As a tour company we know that we will not be welcoming overseas guests for some time. We will be here waiting until we are allowed to.
